Infection Control Training

The Middle-Brook Regional Health Commission (MBRHC) is pleased to announce the continuation of the Infection Control Trainings in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities thanks to the New Jersey Association of County and City Health Officials Strike Team Grant - Project Firstline.

In efforts to combat the spread of disease and improve the quality of care, Project Firstline provides best practices and evidence-based infection prevention and control methods and resources for healthcare personnel. The MBRHC Strike Team offers training to our long-term care facilities and skilled nursing facilities in Bridgewater, Green Brook, Warren, and Watchung. Content that we teach in these trainings includes one or more of the following topics: implicit bias in healthcare, concept of infection control and recognizing infection risks, difference between cleaning and disinfecting, effective hand hygiene practices, and personal protective equipment use and demonstration. Two advanced trainings we are currently developing focus on prevention measures and infection control of Norovirus and C. Auris. The MBRHC Strike Team is committed to educating our frontline healthcare workers to build resilience and protect you and your loved ones against disease.

Long-term care and skilled nursing facilities are asked to call the Health Commission at 732-986-5151 or email Amelia Dominguez at adominguez@middlebrookhealth.org to schedule a training!
