The Commission offers a variety of programs and services in the communities we serve, each of which contribute to our vision of ‘Healthy People and Places – A Healthy Community’. These services each work toward preventing disease and injury, promoting healthy behavior, and/or protecting the environment.
A core function of public health is the rapid containment of infectious diseases. The Commission conducts ongoing surveillance, investigation and control of reportable and communicable diseases within the towns it serves.
