Communicable Disease Investigation

A core function of public health is the rapid containment of infectious diseases. The Commission conducts ongoing surveillance, investigation and control of reportable and communicable diseases within the towns it serves. Components of this effort include immunization audits, electronic communicable disease reporting, case investigation, contact tracing, testing and follow-up, and treatment referrals (i.e., sexually transmitted diseases, tuberculosis).
